A wonderful concert
Today on my Name day (that's a Latvian thing) I went to a cafe in Amagasaki called M Cuatro and had the pleasure to listen to the HRISTO VITCHEV QUARTET. Currently touring Japan.
Amazing how four people can work together in such harmony. Hristo Vitchev on guitar, Weber Iago on piano, Dan Robbins on bass and Mike Shannon on drums.
They played original music that can be found on their latest record "Familiar Fields", and some new peaces to be recorded soon. And it was a delight. A masterful mix of classical, jazz and chamber music.
By the way, this place M Cuatro has live music playing every day. very close to Hankyu Mukonoso station, which is about 15 minutes ride on a local train from Umeda station in Osaka and about a 20 minute ride from Sannomiya station in Kobe.
