”I believe everyone has a beautiful voice. Voice, like any other skill, can be improved with dedication and practice. I can help you find confidence in yours.”
Una Roze is a voice nerd and a dedicated student of speech-language pathology. She is not only a certified Vocal Health First Aider but also works closely with a diverse range of voice users such as singers, actors, teachers, public speakers, and more. Originally from Latvia, Una's lifelong connection with music began during her early childhood. At the Priekule Music School, she pursued a major in violin and vocals, primarily focusing on classical music. However, her musical repertoire extends far beyond classical as she also performs Latvian folk, jazz, pop, and has a particular affinity for choir music. To add to her impressive skill set, she also plays the kokle, a traditional Latvian instrument.
In 2010, Una decided to embark on a new adventure and moved to Japan. While there, she continued to pursue music in her spare time and collaborated with local artists and international guests. In 2014, Una made the exciting move to Kobe, often referred to as the Jazz capital of Japan. It was during this time that she began to explore the scientific aspects of vocals and singing. Additionally, Una took on the role of teaching music to children.
Then, in 2017, Una relocated to Virginia in the United States. She shared her expertise by teaching voice and music classes at The Front Porch and Queen City Music Studios. Additionally, she took it upon herself to create a dynamic rock choir and even had the honor of serving as an emcee at the esteemed Red Wing Roots Music Festival in both 2021 and 2022.
Recently, Una found her new home in Los Angeles, California, where she continues to teach voice while also pursuing her studies in speech-language pathology. With her sights set on becoming a voice therapist, Una is determined to further her knowledge and enhance her ability to assist others in maintaining and improving their vocal health.
